The Windtunnel Air bagless upright features patented Hoover Windtunnel Technology that removes embedded dirt and minimizes blowback or scatter on the carpet. While extremely lightweight at less than 12 pounds, this vacuum offers all the power needed to get floors truly clean, and is perfect for small spaces. By Chel Micheline
I'll start this review by saying straight off- I have two Dysons. I also have three birds, three cats, a six-year old child, a husband that telecommutes from home, a big garden, and a father that golfs on dusty courses and brings back a lot of sand and dirt, so our vacuums are put to work on a very regular basis. We vacuum several times a day.The Hoover was actually a pleasant surprise. While it's not as powerful as the Dyson, it's not nearly as expensive.Pros:- Suction is excellent. Gets up tons of cat hair, feathers, dirt, dust, litter, seed, etc.- Works great on rugs and bare floors. It's also really great at getting stuff up from the grout, which other vacuums can miss.- Very easy to empty.- Lightweight but not flimsy.- Easy to switch between modes.- Very few attachments to lose and deal with.- Not too noisy.- Long cord.- No bags. The cons:- Doesn't navigate like the Dyson, but that's actually a pro in some ways. My mom has really bad arthritis in her hands and can't use the Dyson because of the way it navigates but she CAN use this. So for those with joint issues- this can be a plus.- The hose assembly is a bit tricky. But that seems to be the case on ALL vacuums- one of our Dysons has a terrible hose assembly that requires way too much work to get the attachments on, so I think this might be another "across the board" issue.- As others have noted, sometimes pet hair can get wrapped around the cone inside the canister, and when you empty the vacuum you have to reach in and pull it out. Kinda gross. All in all, it's a powerful vacuum. Not as powerful as the Dyson, but not as pricey or "fussy", either. I definitely recommend it for those who don't want or need a Dyson but want something powerful and easy to use and empty.

By Glitch
My elderly mother has a hard time pushing and maneuvering most of the standard vacuums on the market today, so when her old vacuum finally broke, I went searching for a replacement. This vacuum does the job. She loves it so much she keeps hinting to me that she wants to purchase a second one just in case they stop making it.The extended handle makes it extremely easy for her to clean the ceiling, fans, and even the baseboards without having to strain. It is so light she is able to pick it up and carry it around instead of just wheeling it to where she wants it. As for cleaning power, it does a great job. She has a Maine Coon cat that produces a lot of shedded fur and this vacuum has no problems sucking it all up out of the carpet. She was going to wait for me to come over after work and put it together for her, but when she got the package she couldn't wait. I was worried that she would have issues putting it together or even moving the box inside. Apparently, she just picked it up and carried it in, which surprised me. She had no problems putting it together on her own, either.I would definitely recommend this product to someone who needs a powerful vacuum in a lightweight format. I know my mother couldn't be happier.

By B. Ring
When I first received my little Windtunnel vacuum I was pumped and ready to conquer my floors! It was super easy to put together, and a breeze to use. I vacuumed a small area first to see how much it would pick up, and it was scary how much crap was in my carpet! I was very, very, very pleased with the suction. I needed a lightweight full-size vacuum, because we have two dogs, a cat, and an almost-crawling baby. Our 26 pounder just wasn't efficient enough for me anymore. Well, sad news is, two days after receiving it, the hose came out from the attachment clip as I neared the top of the stairs. More importantly, it's the part that connects the hose to the vacuum head, making it completely unusable. I'm not sure if this is poor design, or just really bad glue. I was pretty mad that I had to return this, because I was finally enjoying vacuuming for once, and my house seemed so much fresher already. I don't recommend this vacuum if you have stairs, or plan on stretching the hose to it's max length. It's an excellent vacuum with one major design flaw. What a shame.
