Received on time and in good condition from [...]. This is an Electrolux upright carrying the Eureka Sanitaire name. Reasonably quiet, has dual motors. Use suction-only motor when sweeping hard floors or using hand wand, turn on both motors to vacuum carpet with brush roll. One suction speed, four floor height settings. Easy to switch suction modes between wand and brush, ergonomic controls. Operates in prone position to vacuum under bed. No headlight, has heavy 50ft removable cord, a little on the long side but okay. A significant improvement over the bagless vacuum it replaced. This product was compared with Sebo and Miele. Used for one month before writing this review, purchased for household with many pets.

This vacuum had such promise. I loved the fact that it had a larger opening to suck up larger items and that the brush was attached, so it could not be lost. Ultimately I bought it for those features, in addition to the specs and brand. I love the Sanitaire line of compact canisters and thought this would be a great upright machine. On the positive side, the suction works very well, it appears to be designed well, the bag system inside is VERY clean, it runs fairly quiet and I like that it has a dual motor system for going from carpet to hardwood.Unfortunately the flaws cannot be ignored. This machine is heavy. It is almost 30 pounds with the cord. It isn't self-propelled and is a little hard to push. The wheels make a lot of noise on bare floors, almost enough to where I worry that they may cause damage. You have to change the suction flow to use the attachment, which is at the BOTTOM of the machine. For home use this may not be a big deal, but in a commercial environment where you are switching often, it is a problem. One of the biggest shocks for me was the realization that while it is great to have the retractable dust brush, it is the only attachment that can be used with the machine. A phone call to Sanitaire later I learned they didn't even make attachments for the unusual 1 5/8 size of the vacuum hose. I realize this is a commercial machine, but no ability for even an upholstery brush? Bad move Sanitaire!I was pretty disappointed with the flaws in this machine. I would have happily paid more for a machine this durable without all the flaws.

I had an Electrolux that lasted for 20 years. Since then we've gone through 10 vacuums in the last 10 years. Although this item says Eureka on Amazon, the one we received had the Eletrolux name on it. They are the same company now.I just received this one yesterday. It appears to be built solid, but fairly light. Very quiet. We bought this for our home. The only negative so far is that the bags are not available at our local Walmart, but are easily available online, including Amazon Marketplace.
