Product Description
The Bissell PowerGroom Bagless Upright Vacuum offers a multi-cyclonic cleaning system that captures more fine dust in the dirt container to keep your filters clean longer. This extends the suction power and cleaning performance of your vacuum. The clear dirt container allows you to see how much you have vacuumed up and it makes it easy to remove an object that was vacuumed up by accident. Combined with a HEPA Media Filter* and on-board tools, this Bissell Upright Vacuum is the perfect versatile all-in-one for convenient cleaning.
*The filter media, not the vacuum as a whole, complies with the IEST-RP-CC001.5 or the EN-1822-1:2009 HEPA standard.

This vacuum survived a whole year with a husky and a cat, and now it's powering through three cats. It picks up all of the dander and pet fur SO WELL. The only thing is that I had to replace the belt on it within like 2 months, but i've had it for two years now and it's been fine since. I just learned right away that the little "carpet level" knob actually means something (because i didnt adjust it to the depth of the carpet...thus ruining the belt)

I bought this vac mainly to pick up kitty litter. I don't like putting a vacuum cleaner in the closet with dirty litter in the bag, and I won't change a vac bag every dayThere was one problem the first time I used it. I could smell and taste dust as I vacuumed. This is what I hate about bagless, the dirt cup is never an airtight seal and that is where ultra fine dust escapes. Even rubber gaskets fail as they get oldI figured out a way to stop the dust escaping. Glad Cling Wrap. It is the only plastic wrap that doesn't stick to itself. I unroll about 6 feet of Cling Wrap on the carpet. Place the dust cup so the Cling Wrap is a half inch above the top edge, and roll the dust cup so the cling wrap is wrapped around the cup with a half inch overlap along the top. I use scissors to trim the bottom flush with the bottom edge of the cup. I fold the half inch overlap into the top of the dust cup and put it into the vacuum. Voila a perfect dust seal. I change the wrap each week. Its a cheap way to get clean air from a cheap little vac. No litter dust in my mouth. No any dust in the air. You just want to have a little bit folded over the top edge. Don't block the air tube in the center of the cupThe pet hair attachment works good, It rakes pet and people hair into a blob, which I then pick up and feed into the tube. The beater brush does not get entangled with people hairs like a lot of vacuums. I like the size. This beats any electric broomThe hose is short. There is no extension wand. I would have loved one extra tube, and a rug attachment so I could vacuum under the bed. Otherwise, this machine has worked out very very well. If I hadn't figured out how to seal the dust cup, I wouldn't be using it but now I wouldn't trade it.I deduct 1 for the weak seal, but give a four for being well made and useful

I bought a Bessell Power Groom Vacuum in July of 2011. About one year later the vac started geting louder and it just kept getting louder and louder until I couldn't stand to use it. It had a two year warranty. I found my local Bessell authorized repair shop and took it there. The repairman said that the motor fan was dirty and needed to be cleaned but that is not covered by the warranty. He would fix it for $47. I called Bessel and I got an Indian who I could hardly understand. She gave me no satisfaction. I ask to speak to her supervisor. I'm still waiting for her to return my call. I will never buy another Bissell.
