I bought this because they stopped making the Eureka Optima, which was my favorite vacuum. I bought the Kenmore at KMart on sale because it was lightweight and had a washable filter. The only problem is that the filter needs washed after sweeping just one room or else the vacuum loses its suction. Then you have to wait for the filter to dry (usually overnight) before you can use it again. I thought I'd buy a second filter for it and alternate them but it turns out that Kenmore must make more than one kind of filter for the QuickCleans because I can't find the right one for my sweeper -- not even on Sears' website with help from the online chat. I became very frustrated at Christmas time because I couldn't get my carpets nice and clean in time for company. I really can't recommend this sweeper to anyone. Please don't waste your money.

By Bbutiful
I too brought this for $49.99 from KMART during Black Friday in 2011. It picked up ok and the sidetool I use for corners and the stairs did not work all that great. Needless to say I let the neighbors aka "The Borrowers" use it and they finished it off because after they returned it, it would not pick up. After I found out the belt was broke I am til this day trying to find a simple little belt so I can fix it. I guess I am stuck with buying a new one which will not be a Kenmore. In this case, you pay for what you get. Cheap cheap, cheap!

By C. Johnson
Recently my household bought one of these vacuum cleaners from Kmart. It was light, easy to assemble, and worked decently enough. However, its dust cup was very hard to remove when it was fresh out of the box, and once used it becomes impossible to remove from the vacuum unless you have ridiculously strong thumbs to press down on the release catch with. We returned the first vacuum for a second one of the same type, and the second had this exact same problem. None of us could remove the dust cup to empty it out at all.Long story short: you get what you pay for, and unless you're a certified thumb wrestling world champion or Arthur the once and future king of England you're better off buying a different vacuum cleaner.
