First of all, I NEVER write reviews on items on Amazon but ALWAYS read them before I make any major purchase. Sorry. I know it's not fair so I'm trying to make up for it. So... I reviewed about 20 vacuums on Amazon before purchasing this one. I actually went to a department store to buy it because I wanted instant gratification but decided I'd still review on Amazon.The 2 major factors in purchasing a vacuum for the house were HEPA filtration (I have major allergy problems) and price. The very first thing I learned from digging around online is that, just because something says it has a HEPA, that alone means nothing about particles coming back out of the machine and into the air. I researched for a LONG time before I ended up spending about $300 on an air purifier. If the HEPA filter isn't sealed, it's completely useless. I'm glad to say that this vacuum cleaner is everything it said it would be!!! And the price could not be beat (I wasn't even considering Dirt Devils and Eurekas so this vacuum is at the very bottem end of the price range I was considering).What they mean when they say "No Loss of Suction" is that the vacuum pivots and moves all over the place without the head leaving the surface of the floor (similar to the Dyson with the ball). It actually works very well!! I have an apartment with a combined living room/dining room which is all carpeted. I can vacuum underneath my table with ease. It also turns and swivels like a dream.I agree with the reviewers before me that it would have been nice to have a place ON the vacuum for the pet attachment. But... it workes perfectly on MY laminate flooring in the kitchen and I have had nothing but problems with "retractable" cords in the past so would prefer not to have one anyway.Added Pros:-Not very noisy at all for a vacuum-Easy to empty-2 washable filters besides the HEPA-Pet attachment works very well-The brush does NOT spin when vacuum is completely upright and you are utilizing the attachments (a feature I specifically looked for)Some Cons:-Is a LITTLE top heavey when using attachments-Nowhere for the pet attachment on the vacuumWould DEFINITELY buy again and recommend to all my friends!!!!

Just purchased this today as a replacement. I was drawn to this as I needed something that was going to get up all the dog hair. Just used and am pretty happy. Suction is great! Pet hair attachment worked like a charm. Extended & flexible hose allows easy access to walls & ceilings for cobweb removal. Long cord is also a welcome addition. Emptying the canister was more than easy - love that fact.Cons: Evan though I was using on bare/wood floor, the bare floor setting is HORRIBLE. I had to stop every 2 or 3 passes to clean out the roller because I noticed the canister was not showing any signs of picking up pet hair and debris and all the dog hair was caught in the roller (the roller doesn't rotate when using on bare floor). Once I changed to the 'Brusher On' setting (setting for carpet), everything was being picked up. Seems like the barefloor setting is completely useless if you have a pet hair situation.Also, when using the attachments (crevice, pet hair & extension), the unit is extremely top heavy and tips over very easily. After breaking a sweat and a little trial & error, I had less tip over episodes by keeping the unit close to me. It definitely slows me down a bit and is inconvenient, but the floor is getting cleaner than it ever has.Lastly, the pet hair attachment doesn't have a home on the vacuum. They give you a bag to put it in. How stupid - I want the attachment ON the vacuum for ease of use.Retractable cord would be nice, but they do give you a place to hang it.All in all, I think I would purchase again simply due to the suction. The only thing that would have me think twice about purchasing this again is the 'tip over' factor - very annoying.Would give it more than 3 stars due to ease of use and superior suction, but the tip over problem is aggravating as it doesn't allow for easy & seamless use so that's the only reason it gets a 3.

I bought this after my Dirt Devil gave out. I said it was good for allergies and I was very curious about the "complete seal" thing as well. I am so impressed by it's suction power! It sucked up a sock without me even seeing it! Since the hose is transparent, I could see something was stuck, so I was trying to figure out how to get it out. The manual didn't have any instructions, so I ended up soaking the sock with water, and it slid out. It is very powerful, which makes me believe that it makes my house way cleaner than my old vacuum did. I used to have to vacuum slowly to make sure it picked up everything. It is very easy to pop out and use the attachments.I find that it is top heavy, so when using the attachments it falls over frequently. I do have congestion after vacuuming (which I thought the seal would fix) but that could have been from dumping everything into the trash. And the dumping is so easy; just push the button on the bottom and it flips open and everything falls out.As of now, I would definitely recommend the vacuum. It has a 5-year warranty even.
