Pathetic

We were given this vacuum as a gift, and while it worked and seemed to have good suction (compared with our very old eureka hand-me-down), it never seemed to do a great job. I always had to go over the area several times to clean messes, and it was awful with dog hair. I have two chihuahua mix's and they have long coats so naturally their hair gets everywhere. I put the vacuum on various settings to try and vacuum up the dog hair in our rug, I believe all it did was make the hair more ingrained into the rug...Unfortunately shortly after its warranty was up it seems to have developed a crack somewhere and is leaking the suction air. So its crappy suction just got crappier. Sadly our Bissel steamcleaner has also given out shortly after its warranty also...yeah I always held Bissell in high regard, apparently they are no longer the quality product I believed them to be.

Serious problems

Replaced my 10+ year old bag-type hoover with this and am seriously disappointed. We have one medium-haired dog, and I cannot vacuum my entire 2000 sq ft home (weekly) without emptying the canister at least twice. And by the time I am done, the filters need rinsing, too, as there is not enough suction left for the "Turbo" attachment to run. That's a lot of work for the "convenience" of a bagless vacuum. No good way to handle the vacuum for stairs, either.Also not a fan of the auto cord re-winders, but they seem to be almost standard equipment now. Just seems like a gimmick nobody asked for and a primary point of failure for a vacuum.

THIS IS THE ONLY THING I EVER GOT FROM AMAZON THAT COMPLETLY DIDNT WORK AND THE SELLER WOULD NOT REFUND ME . I HAD TO REPLACE THE ELECTRICAL CORD AND THE BAND ON THE VACUUM ROLLER BEFORE ANYTHING NOW ITS A HALF ASS VACUUMTHIS COMPANY I RECOMEND YOU DO NOT BUY FRHAD BROKEN PRONGS N THE OM THIS WAS LISTED AS LIKE NEW !!!! NO LIKE TRASH IS MORE ADDIQUATETHE OVERALALL SUCTION IS POOR ANYWAY STAY AWAY FROM THESE BISSEL MODELS I HAD A CHEAP 40$ STORE BOUGHT SO LIKE 20$ AMAZON VACCUM AND IT KICKED BUT MY OLD ROOMATE BROKE IT THOUGHT THEY COULD STEAM CLEAN WITH IT IDIOTSWELL ON THIS PRODUCT BEWARE ALONG WITH THE SELLER I ASKED MULTIPLE ?s AND THEY SAID OH IT WORKS GREAT KNOWING IT HAD BROKEN ELECTRAL PRONGS AND WOULD NOT PLUG IN TO THE WALL .JUNK
