Never again!

Worst vacuum we've ever owned. Had to replace the rotating brush after about 6 months because the bearings burned up. It's constantly getting clogged between the pickup area and the canister. And now the rotating brush is going out again...it's rattling like crazy and very loud. If you need a new vacuum, pass on this one and keep looking. Wish we had our old Dirt Devil back. I wish I could rate this lower than 1 star.

Noisy and Difficult to Change Cannister

We previously owned three Hoover Windtunnel vacuum cleaners. This is by far Hoover's worst design! It is very noisy in operation, the suction will stop and then a filter needs to be cleaned that requires 24 hours to air dry. Extremely messy to deal with emptying the cannister. When it's working, it does pick up well. But it requires too much maintenance. We regret purchasing this vacuum model.

Plastic parts

We've had this vacuum for a few months. It worked great until the canister filled the first time. After that, no matter how often you empty it, it doesn't suck well. When it gets full, the motor just stops and you have to wait for about 1/2 hour to restart, even after you've emptied the canister.The parts are plastic. A tiny plastic part on the side that keeps the roller in place broke, so that the roller pops out of place a bit. It can't be replaced. Because the roller is askew, the belt shifted and melted the plastic parts on either side.It is unlikely that I will buy a Hoover again, ever.
