Good vacuum, Dirt sensor quit working.

This seems to be a very effective vacuum, as it picks up dirt really well,even after having gone over the carpet first with a Hoover canister vac,it picked up a lot more dirt! However the dirt sensor quit working after only 15 minutes of use.(it is a new machine), The light just stays green ALL of the time. Even after emptying the cannister onto the floor and re-vacuuming all of that dirt it will not go to red! It will not work! Period! VERY disappointing! I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for this dirt-sensor failure!

Bought this in May 2012 had to take it to the shop for lost of suction. Now its back to the shop with a bad motor. Shop called said motor was burned out and needs replacing. Panasonic closes service center is two states away and Panasonic wants me to ship it to them at my cost, really. Poor customer service and quality product.
