This vacuum has a very serious belt defect. We've tried and tried to find a remedy for it, but it's useless. The belt slips off after only a short amount of time. We've only had the unit for about 4 months, and haven't used it very heavily. As it has been past 90 days, we cannot return it to the store, or else we most definitely would. I strongly recommend looking into another model and saving your money, because this one will probably burn you.

Got this vacuum at Target on sale for about $60 less than a year ago. Liked it at first..seemed to suck well..but then the belt issue started. After taking it apart now over 50 times to fix the belt, which in itself is not an easy task, it is going out to the new owner...the DUMP!!! I am fed up with the belt and this piece of junk. Using it for the last time today and buying a Eureka!!!

Whoever designed this vacuum obviously has never a used a vacuum in his or her life, and should be chased out of whatever village they came from with torches and pitch forks. First of all, if you vacuum up anything larger than a pencil, prepare for it to be stuck in the upper portion of the canister. In this case, you'll have to open the bottom, spin off the top of the canister, and with either very long yet child-like slim fingers, dig out whatever you sucked up. Or a fork. Keep in mind that while you're doing this, dirt will be falling out everywhere. Then you'll have to somehow screw the top back on (which is practically a miracle in itself), then continue vacuuming until you could blow around more dirt from a single nostril (approx 3 minutes). Do the same, then open the filter, clean out the spongy pre-filter thing, start over. Consider killing yourself or sweeping. As a forewarning, don't attempt to use any attachments, because the "quick connect" hose will take you at least two minutes to pop back on. Don't be fooled when you think you've got it figured out ("well, that was easy, I guess it just has to go with the writing about 1/8" turn to the left.") - it won't work next time.In the event you're foolish enough to purchase this household torture device, I recommend investing in a bottle of tequila, unless you plan on vacuuming in the morning, in which case I'd recommend Vodka for the bloody mary you'll be in dire need of by the time you're crying and elect to give up. Lucky for me, I live on a hill and can just boot the thing down the driveway for the garbage man.
