I am disappointed.I ordered this vacuum to complement the two Hoover Conquest Uprights I already have. It made sense to me to order more of the same product so I can use common parts, service, etc.The research I did was detailed but in the end, I looked at the image on the web page and ordered. Turns out the image is of a bagless (what I wanted), the description is of a bagged model. Or it least it is as of today. Now I have two bagless, and this one new bagged model. I really don't need the added expense and overhead of bags. Background: Custodian of a church with about 3/4 of an acre of carpet.

The Conquest Heavy Duty Vacuum was delivered this afternoon and I assembled it immediately. The assembly instructions are not quite correct: The handle has a small, almost imperceptible taper near the top and so the dirt cup assembly should be attached from the bottom, as step one, not slid down the top as step two, as the instructions would have. But that's relatively minor. As I attempted to attach the plastic hand grip to the metal handle, the screw sheared going into the plastic! It's clear the screw was tempered badly, which is likely due to Hoover buying their screws from a shoddy supplier. I imagnine a bean counter in the company somewhere thinking he got a great deal, saving the company a nickel or two per unit, but if this sort of thing dissuades even one sale of their product, I imagine Hoover comes out the worse. I suppose this would be covered by their warranty, but who wants the hassle and expense of dealing with that? I simply drilled a new hole into the plastic hand grip, around the piece of screw lodged in there, and through the metal handle, and put in a new bolt from my junk box. Works fine, though the new bolt looks weird and is slightly cock-eyed due to the need to avoid that piece of screw when drilling the new hole. But it's only a vacuum cleaner. If anyone asks about the odd looking bolt, I'll happily point out the Hoover name and offer my opinion as to their quality. Once assembled, it vacuumed okay, but how many other inferior bolts are in there? Time will tell.
